Coral began its business in 1926 after Joe Coral borrowed some money from a local café owner in order for him to operate betting pitches in greyhound courses. After several decades, his business grew into one of the biggest bookmakers in the UK. In 2006, Coral was awarded as the “Bookmaker of the Year” in the UK Gambling Awards.
